Degraded ocean is apparent but the public awareness is still very low. Proper and collaborative actions
by all in the society are needed to sustainably tackle this challenge.
The Solution
Ms. Jareerat Petsom (Baitong) and Mr. Sukkarom (Ball) joined hands to create “Eco Young Camp” that
inspires young changemakers who can cannon ideas and awareness of eco-friendliness.
The Givers
• Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited, iHERE TV, NH Garage, and Starboard,
provided sponsorship of 50,000 Baht.
• Blue Carbon Society, Dr. Wayne Phillips from Mahidol University, Mr. Sukkarom from Sattahip
Water Sport Academy, Buddharaksa Foundation provided lectures and workshops.
• Shellhut Entertainment Co., Ltd. had Shelldon joined the Art4Worth workshop and provided
souvenir for the participants
The Outcomes
• 15 children across Thailand joined the 3-day camp at Hat So, Sattahip, and learned about how to
prevent and properly manage marine wastes, marine lives, etc.
